In each county, a seven-member Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) Executive Committee is tasked with recommending a local plan for the implementation of the 2011 public safety realignment.
The executive committee is comprised of the Chief Probation Officer, who chairs the committee; the Chief of Police; Sheriff; District Attorney; Public Defender; the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court; and a county health and human services representative appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Neither the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) nor any other state agency needs to approve these local plans, which must have the approval of 80 percent of each county’s Board of Supervisors.
As county plans from throughout the state are finalized, we will make them available here. Below is a list of currently available plans.
